Achoo! 7 Ways to Fight Spring Allergies
Thu Apr 17, 2014
I have found that taking 2 capsules per day of nettles works like magic. It is an herb that contains natural antihistamines and doesn't make you drowsy. It may take a few days before you notice a difference, but I can't live without them after suffering from severe hay fever for most of my life. On …
Hanks for nothing! 'Captain Phillips' star among Oscar's top snubs
Thu Jan 16, 2014
Another huge snub - "Blackfish" should have been nominated for Best Documentary. Guess SeaWorld has a lot of lobbying power at the Academy.
To burn less money, consider heating with wood
Wed Dec 11, 2013
No one has talked about what a mess it makes in your house. I heated with wood for several decades when I lived in Oregon - yes it was cheap to go cut it and haul it home, but you are constantly cleaning up bark, wood chips, and soot in your house.
Group that survived two days in frigid Nevada wilderness calls rescuers 'valiant'
Tue Dec 10, 2013
The one thing I don't understand is how do you take four small children on a day trip without any water or snacks? Even a 2 hour trip to the mall requires that you bring something for the little ones to drink and snack on. These parents were ill-prepared and downright stupid to bring children into t …
Justin Bieber carried up Great Wall of China by bodyguards
Tue Oct 1, 2013
So this wimpy punk makes his black slaves (oh sorry, I mean bodyguards) carry him up the wall? What a disgusting little prick!
Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick, Jr. join 'American Idol' judging 'dream team'
Tue Sep 3, 2013
In reply to: car-868896 #12 I totally agree - Harry Conick Jr. is a terrible choice! He was a total d-head the last time he mentored and IMO he is washed up, outdated, and his singing is just plain bad! He may have been relevant a few decades ago, but now he just adds to the perception th …
Christie gives conditional OK to broader medicinal marijuana use
Fri Aug 16, 2013
I am completely in favor of allowing other forms of MJ to be available to underage patients. The form that is high in CBD but low in THC provides patients with the anti-seizure benefits of MJ without the feeling of being stoned. The Feds need to get on with allowing it to be studied for its medical …
Tennessee musician becomes first to paddleboard to US from Cuba
Fri Aug 2, 2013
Whatever it is he's standing on, its NOT a paddleboard! If you want to see what real paddleboarding is about, go to Hawaii. Its basically a very wide and long surfboard. This thing looks more like a cross between a kayak and a paddleboard. XX
Medical marijuana for kids? Some praise results while others worry about risks
Tue Jul 9, 2013
They can't research it because federal law classifies it as a Class 1 drug, which prohibits any research being done on it. We need to press our lawmakers to reclassify this so it can be thoroughly researched for the medical benefits.
Spinal fractures a common injury after Asiana plane crash
Sun Jul 7, 2013
"People’s spinal cords were fractured and hyper-extended". This writer knows nothing about anatomy or medical terminology. Spinal cords do not fracture or hyper-extend. The vertebrae in the spine itself can fracture and the ligaments holding the vertebrae together can be hyper-extended.&n …
